How do I get a storage quote?
The quickest way to get a storage quote is to fill out our Get a Quote form online. Alternatively, you can give our team a call or send us an email.
How much does self storage in Peterborough cost?
Prices will vary depending on the size and type of storage you require. There are also additional costs for extended and 24/7 access.
You will be charged on a monthly basis, with no fixed-term contracts in place. If you decide to cancel mid-way through a month, we will refund you for any period that you were not using the unit.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We offer multiple convenient payment options, including cash, cheques, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers. To enhance customer convenience and security, we have partnered with Global Payments, a trusted payment processing platform. Our partnership allows customers to set up recurring payments, known as ‘autopay,’ relieving any concerns about remembering to pay storage charges.
Will I need to pay a deposit?
No. We simply charge a monthly fee for your use of our storage units. You can cancel at any time.
Are there any discounts for long-term rentals?
We provide discounts for long-term rentals, specifically for 6-month and 12-month rental periods. For detailed information and specific offers related to longer rental durations, contact us directly. We will be happy to assist you with any inquiries regarding discounts and promotions.
What security features do you have on site?
We take the security of your personal items seriously. We provide round-the-clock CCTV surveillance for your peace of mind.
Do you provide packing materials?
Yes. We can also provide packing materials at a reduced cost compared to buying them on the high street.
Can you transport my items to and from my unit?
We offer a full move-in and move-out service, meaning you don’t have to worry about transporting your belongings to and from the storage unit. We have access to a fleet of removal vehicles that can securely transport all your items. Simply fill out our form or give us a call to arrange a suitable collection or drop-off time.
Is there a minimum and maximum hiring period?
There is no minimum or maximum hiring period – we are a completely flexible storage facility.
Do I need to buy my own padlock for the storage unit?
Yes, you will need to buy your own padlock. You will have the option to add a padlock to a quote from us.
What happens if I lose my key?
If you happen to lose your key, our team will help you regain access to your unit. Our dedicated staff can provide a replacement key if one has been securely stored at our reception. Alternatively, we can remove and replace the lock. Please don’t hesitate to contact our staff for guidance and support in such situations
Is there anything I can’t store?
There are a number of items that you are not permitted to store, including:
- Food or perishable goods, unless securely packed so that they are protected and do not attract vermin
- Animals or any other living creatures
- Combustible or flammable items, such as gas, paint, petrol, oil, cleaning solvents or compressed gases
- Explosives, weapons or ammunition
- Chemicals, radioactive materials, or biological agents
- Toxic waste, asbestos or other materials of a potentially harmful nature
- Any item with a strong, unpleasant odour
- Any illegal substances or goods that have been illegally obtained
Can I store a car in a storage unit?
Yes. If you opt for our container storage, you will be able to store a car or motorcycle.
What happens when I want to vacate my storage unit?
Simply give our team a call, and we can organise the next steps, including a moving out date. If required, we can help you move out and transport your belongings to an address of your choice.
Do you provide insurance? Or do I need to supply my own cover?
If your items are particularly valuable or attached to your business, we strongly recommend that you get insurance to protect the value of your contents. We do not automatically offer insurance, but we can offer standard liability if specified. For more information, you can read our insurance policy. You will have the option to add insurance when you get a quote from us.
How do I access my unit?
Customers who opt for extended or full access plans are typically provided with gate codes and a personal access keyfob. The keyfob enables entry through the facility’s security doors. Once inside, you can easily locate your unit and use your individual lock and key. During the rental process, specific instructions will be provided. Accessing your unit is dependent on the day and time you choose to access it. Our site is equipped with cloud-recording security cameras, ensuring round-the-clock surveillance and monitoring 24/7.
Can I access my self storage unit at any time?
Yes, but only if you opt for “24/7 access”.
How does 24/7 access work?
Whether you need to pick something up early in the morning or late at night, if you opt for “24/7 access”, you can visit your unit whenever you like.
What’s the difference between standard, extended and 24/7 access?
- Standard access: Access available within our standard opening hours
- Extended access: Access from 6am to 8pm, every day
- 24/7 access: Total access around the year
Is there always someone on site to help?
Our reception desk is only manned during our opening hours; however, we have 24/7 security should you need emergency assistance out of hours.
What types of storage do you provide?
We provide a wide range of personal and commercial storage solutions, including self storage, container units and document storage.
What is the difference between container storage and self storage?
Containers can be accessed from outside and are considered a more suitable solution for long-term storage and for larger items, such as vehicles. Self storage units are accessed indoors and are ideal for temporary and long-term storage.
Is your document storage GDPR compliant?
Yes, we ensure that all your documents are handled and stored in a way that’s compliant with GDPR.
What size units do you have? Which is right for me?
Our storage unit sizes range from 25 sq. ft. (around the same size as a quarter of a standard garage) all the way up to 200 sq. ft. (large enough to fill the contents of a 5 bedroom house).
